Colson Baker (or Machine Gun Kelly) is known for his distinctive style of rapping. Baker was born in Houston in Texas on the 22nd of April in 1990 to an German as well as an English Scottish family. His parents were missionaries, and throughout his childhood, he traveled a lot together. James Colson Baker battled depression and unemployment, and his mom Sonia Alane dumped him at the age of nine. Following that Baker and his father relocated to Denver where they lived with his father's aunt. Baker had to endure bullying from fellow kids because of his poverty. Baker began to listen to rap when he was in the sixth grade. Colson Kelly (also known as Machine Gun Kelly) was born April 22 on the 22nd of April, 1990 in Texas. His music blends modern hip-hop, alternative and rock. Baker had released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010, before signing to Bad Boy Records. With lyrics that were faster than bullet trains, this Cleveland rapper experienced a swift rise to fame in 2011. The rapper went from releasing self-released tapes before the signing of labels. The fame of this Cleveland rapper rocketed when he released his first mixtape late in the year.
