Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. She is the older sister of fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start fighting sports by becoming an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold in the year 2011, and won in the position of IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in with her debut in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships in 2012 as well as the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's final fight took place in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The victory was achieved by unanimity. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's striking skills were superior and let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Antonina took a UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC at TUF's Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina returned to the ring after the defeat and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko lost 1-2 over the next three fights she lost to Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
