Keira Knightley
In London to actor Will Knightley and Sharman Macdonald, Knightley obtained an agent at the age of six. She initially performed in commercials and TV films. Knightley portrayed Sabe in a tiny character in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1998). Her big break came as a tomboy footballer in the sports film Bend It Like Beckham (2002) The film went on to achieve worldwide fame as Elizabeth Swann in the swashbuckler fantasy show Pirates of the Caribbean, starting in 2003. She was in the love comedy Love Actually (2003) and was considered a promising young movie star. Knightley was awarded her first Academy Award nod for Best Actress in 2005 for her portrayal of Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine in the classic romance Pride & Prejudice. Knightley also appeared in a number of period-themed films, such as Atonement (2007 the love story), The Duchess, (2008) and Anna Karenina, (2012). Also, she performed the role of a socialite, Georgiana for the role of Georgiana in The Duchess. Her involvement in modern dramas and acted as an ambitious singer in Begin Again (2013) and as a Medical student on Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014). Knightley made a return to the world of historical drama, appearing as Joan Clarke, in The Imitation Game and earned her the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In addition, she appeared in Colette in the role of the title writer.
